A Court of Mist and Fury (ACOMAF) is the second book of the A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) series. In ACOMAF, the reader resumes the story of Feyre and her new life in the Fae realm. Now High Fae herself, Feyre battles the demons she encountered Under the Mountain that continue to haunt her. In what starts out as a means to continue to protect those she loves, Feyre discovers self-love, inner strength, and true affection. In ACOMAF Feyre gets a glimpse into a new court in Prythian when its High Lord, Rhysand, calls in on a bargain made Under the Mountain. During ACOMAF, the reader watches as Feyre begins to heal from her trauma and dismantle all that she has known to be true.
In ACOMAF, Maas unravels everything. Maas’ ability to wield her writing implement to both wrench, mend, and expand her reader’s hearts is unparalleled. ACOMAF is addictive and imaginative. Simply exquisite.
Likely, if you have read ACOTAR, you need no further invitation to continue your journey with ACOMAF. If you do, however, need further encouragement, Maas does not disappoint with her second installment of the ACOTAR series. The clever banter, slow-burn romance, and beautiful world depictions in ACOMAF make it an easy 5 star read.
